RADIUS BELT - GENERAL

The Standard RA Radius Belt  has many versions for an optimal choice:

- with 2 different pitches:

   -19.05mm and 27.4mm

- with or without spiral filling.

- with 3 different strengths:

   - normal strength type: RA - NB

   - reinforced bracket type: RA - VB

   - reinforced bracket with plates type: RA - VP

- with different belt width to divert radius ratios:

  - inner radius = 1.7 x beltwidth

  - inner radius = 2.2 x beltwidth.

The Full Decreased RA Radius Belts is a belt with a bracket on both sides and one in the middle.

The inner radius = 1.1 x beltwidth.

By moving the center bracket off-center, the inner radius can be adjusted within limits .

The precise dimensions of the brackets and cross bars of the RA – Radius belt together with computer-controlled welding and upsetting robots, an extremely dimensionally stable belt with stable straight and concentric run properties under almost all conditions. Each crossbar is provided with 2 cold pressed heads.  The absence of much heat during manufacture ensures that the crossbar remains straight and the material composition at the end of the crossbar does not change.  The cold-pressed heads always have the same dimensions and are extremely smooth. The welds connecting the brackets to the cross bars are welded with a minimum of heat and are tough in construction due to the chosen welding process.  This results in a high-quality belt with great wear resistance.

The RA – Radius belt can be used at transport speeds of less than 1 m/min to approximately 20 m/min (speed measured on the outside of the belt on circular belts). People then speak of normal speeds.  Speeds higher than 20 m/min are considered high speed. The lifespan of the belt is then affected. However, it also depends on the design of the transport system and the process conditions.

The RA – Radius belt requires a minimum of maintenance and, if used properly, has a lifespan of many years.  The belt is supplied as standard in stainless steel AISI 304, but can be made in AISI 316 if desired. Depending on the application and wishes, the belt can be supplied in a stained version.

The RA- Radius belt is used, among other things, in:

- cryogenic freezing installations

- spiral freezing towers

- product lifting transports

- baking ovens -spiral cooling systems

- spiral towers to rise dough

- drying installations

- pasteurization systems

- straight freezing tunnels

- sorting systems

- filter systems

- cooking installations

- straight and round conveyors.

The RA – Radius belt in addition to the examples shown above also has special variants with attachments, combinations with different types of brackets, special crossbar shapes, and as a carrier belt in filter installations with stainless steel or plastic filter cloth.
